As in my last post I mentioned Joseph Campbell's "A Hero's Journey" concept & I went and bought it today and started it and am very excited about it.
As I thought about it and started reading it there was a point about how these mythos that carry these truths are a legacy. An ancient wisdom if you will. With that I came across this Paul Chek video clip. I love Paul's work. Scott Sonnon and Paul Chek I think are two geniuses in their fields. I found this clip about "your legacy". Your lifetime big picture goal; and how that shapes your decisions in how you live and why you go about being alive. Not JUST existing.
I challenge you, Legion, to really examine your legacy or rather the legacy you wish to have. Is your life an accumulation of actions that are building to this legacy. Whats RIGHT with your daily actions in relation to your goals? As Elliot Husle would say are you working to become the strongest version of yourself? We are naturally evolving beings. We can change. We DO NOT have to be who we were yesterday...last week...a year ago... You are not your thoughts (though they can become you if they are not focuses), you are not your injury, your are not your illness, you are who YOU choose to live as. Hold on to that. That's scary, but it's power.
Happy training, Legion. You are your own hero; be your own adventure.
